I’ll be updating it periodically, adding new messages and removing old ones.

  1. Hello Pastor Doug,

This is timely for me/us at BCF because we have several challenges we are facing in our congregation. We have a couple of people who have lost their jobs and have been looking for months and months, and we have one precious brother who has colon cancer and is inoperable, but currently taking chemo. Just yesterday, his wife called me to say that he was very discouraged and asking God, “Why me?” God bless him, I sure understand that feeling.

I continue to encourage them all to TRUST God, that no matter what they may be going through or enduring, He has promised “Never will I leave you and never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13. When we face things that in the natural we can’t do anything about, we can either be keyed up or freed up! We can trust or be afraid, we can choose to hold on to hope or be in despair. I know that it takes effort to make the ‘positive’ choices and then to STAY there- especially when facing nausea, pain, discomfort, or bill collectors calling day and night- BUT we must recognize our WILL has a part to play in God bringing us through.

We had a wonderful, spirit-filled brother in BCF several years ago who died from cancer. He and We did everything we understand to do to cooperate with The Word of God- and yet He still died. We were all stymied by this, upset, even questioning God’s intent in His Word- but ultimately, this brother demonstrated to us that above all else,he trusted God and believed that whatever lemons life handed us, God would make lemonade out of it. Praise God, our brother got his reward- Heaven, relief, peace, and the infathomable LOVING presence of our Creator. I am ever so slightly envious! I long to be home, too.

Sometimes I still don’t understand why things happen or unfold as they do, but in my 46 years of living, I can look back and see that somehow, someway, God made it all work out alright.

I hope that your readers will choose to TRUST GOD no matter what, and continue to walk in all that we understand that God has taught us about living a victorious, overcoming life in Christ Jesus- no matter what! God doesn’t change, so let’s imitate Him and watch what He will do.

Faith continues to be the victory that overcomes the world!

God bless you and your readers,
